Production line noise testing

NUREN is an engine fault diagnostic system running Microsoft Windows 95 and Windows NT. The NUREN system compiles a time domain assessment of noise measured during cold engine testing, separating out unwanted background noise to obtain a distinctive noise signature for the engine. Using a combination of engine noise and crank rotation measurement,the NUREN system can reject bad engines from a test lasting only a few seconds and produce a diagnosis of the faults in the engine. NUREN can also be integrated with other testing procedures, such as oil pressure measurement, and made to operate simultaneously if required.
