摘要：
The increasing role of private trade exchanges in collaborative electronic commerce is discussed. The building of a private trade exchange requires specialzation in four areas. These are transactional applications, connectivity tools, systems management, and value added services. Companies hosting the private trade exchanges allow its suppliers to connect to the exchange via web browsers. Successful implementation of the private trade exchanges require integration with core transactional systems.
