摘要
An overview of our work in the analysis and modeling of the interfacial phenomena is given. We discuss in some detail novel concepts introduced by our group in recent years. These included, in chronological order, the limit law of linearity (LLL), the fractional power pole (FPP), and the nonlinear saturation models. The LLL serves to characterize the onset of nonlinear behavior, both in the frequency and time domains. The FPP is based on an extension of BODe's method to incorporate a number of time constant distributions of the David-Cole type. A major advantage is its validity over the entire frequency spectrum of interest for a given dispersion process exhibiting fractional power function dependence on frequency. We have developed an interactive computer program to automatically extract the model parameters from linear immittance data. In the nonlinear range, using the describing function method, we have identified a saturation behavior separable from system dynamics. The implications of our results in measurement techniques and in the study of phenomenologically similar processes in dielectrics, solid-state, and membrane interfaces and in mechanical relaxation studies are noted.
