Independent inventor Peggy Faulkner has developed two nonwoven-based products: disposable underarm dress and shoe liners. Both have adhesive backings to stick to their garments and both are made from layers of nonwoven polypropylene. The dress liners' main objective is to avoid odours caused by the reaction of perspiration with some types of fabrics, such as polyester, rayon, nylon etc. The shoe liners protect the shoes from the damage caused by perspiration, and allow the wearer to go without socks or pantyhose.
