摘要
Unfired periclase-carbon parts were tested. The average wear rate was 30% less than for PKhS parts. With a decrease in lining thickness from 460 to 230 mm the wear rate dropped. During service a complex infiltration-metasomatic zonality is formed which has an iron-silicate character. In contrast to normal magnesia spinel parts (PShS, MKhS, PKhS) the periclase-carbon refractories have three or four times less thickness of the working zones. In addition there is no transition zone in which loosening and the formation of micro- and macrocracks leading to spalling occur.
