Operation principles and thermodynamic cycles relative to heat pumps, cooling systems and heat transformers using adsorption of water on zeolite, their application and realizable systems are described. Technical problems concerning heat transfer between the system and the thermal sources are discussed and the results obtained from the experimental activities on the pilot plant (1 kW) working at CNR-TAE Institute of Messina are presented.
