The investigation, using a poly(diethyleneglycol maleate adipate) modified with a polyethyleneglycol and a styrene, shows that along with the rate constants of copolymerisation it is possible to find the individual rate constants of conversion of the double bonds of the styrene and the polyester. Investigation of the process of copolymerisation of an unsaturated polyester with styrene at elevated temperatures makes it possible to establish a processing schedule ensuring the optimum rate of hardening.
