Carbon monoxide is over 200 times more attractive than oxygen is to the blood hemoglobin molecules, so a relatively small amount of CO may cause serious oxygen deficiency. OSHA requirements for monitoring Threshold Limit Value for CO and types of CO sensors and instruments used for this purpose are described.
