THE COMPOSITION DEPENDENCE OF INDUCED ANISOTROPY HAS BEEN INVESTIGATED FOR AMORPHOUS (FE//1// - //XCO//X)//9//0ZR//1//0ALLOYS. IT IS FOUND THAT THE INDUCED ANISOTROPY CONSTANT OFTHE ALLOYS SHOWS A CLEAR PEAK AT X = 0. 6 AND ITS MAXIMUM VALUE (3010 ERG/G) IS THREE TIMES AS LARGE AS THAT REPORTED PREVIOUSLY FOR METAL-METALLOID AMORPHOUS ALLOYS. THE COMPOSITION DEPENDENCE OF INDUCED ANISOTROPY CAN BE FIT TO THE DIRECTIONAL PAIR ORDER THEORY PROPOSED BY IWATA FOR CLUSTERING TYPE FCC ALLOYS.
