Deutsche Bahn Immobiliengesellschaft mbH (DBImm - DB Real Estate) is responsible for the whole range of activities relating to utilising and managing real estate. To achieve its objectives, DBImm uses a geographical information system alongside the more commercially oriented systems. The project is named flimas - the German acronym for area information and management system. Flimas displays technical data in context with a presentation of the situation, geometry and environs of the properties. In addition, visual display of the properties on site plans and maps greatly facilitates decision-making on real estate utilisation.
