An analysis is presented of the excitation of surface magnetostatic waves in a ferromagnetic plate with a meander line and with an array of short-circuited pins. The frequency variation of the characteristic impedance, the bandwidth, and the excitation efficiency are determined. These devices are narrow-band high-efficiency devices and can excite surface magnetostatic waves with large wave numbers. The array system is preferable for matching purposes. 8 refs.
