DISTRIBUTED CONTROL FOR SWITCHING SYSTEMS - A SYSTEMS STUDY TO IMPROVE COST AND MAINTAINABILITY OF SWITCHING SYSTEMS.

It is the purpose of this paper to suggest a system approach for electronic switching to implement newly available technology, and to examine the advantages of earlier electromechanical direct control systems as potential contributors toward better, more reliable and more economically producible systems. A system control is suggested which applies an optimum amount of MSI/LSI techniques for matrix control circuits and examines the application of small computer systems for distributed processor circuits.
