ALGEBRAIC-TOPOLOGICAL INTERPRETATIONS FOR BASIC EQUATIONS OF ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS.

摘要
The interrelationship between algebraic topology and electromagnetic theory is described. Using the exterior differential forms, the electromagnetic quantities are described with cochains, and the electromagnetic laws are discussed from the mappings of P-cochains to (P plus 1)-cochains. The algebraic structure of Maxwell equations is then clarified, and the algebraic-topological descriptions for the basic equations of electromagnetic theory are attempted. Furthermore, using exterior differential forms, a 4-network treatment of the 4-dimensional formulation for the electromagnetic theory equations is proposed.
