Certain mechanisms for the cutoff of the beam-plasma discharge by a transverse electron field in a system with a fully ionized rotating plasma are studied. The case is treated in which the inner electrode of the system is positive, since it is not possible to achieve an adequate radial current in any other way. Equations are obtained that give the maximum radial voltage and the maximum radial current in crossed fields. It is shown that the maximum radial current is proportional to the current of neutrals injected into the electron beam region from the external injector. A system of this type has potential use for separating chemical elements and isotopes.
