A satisfactory procedure for die casting a copper-zinc alloy plumbing fixture spout has been developed. The procedure utilizes an expendable core capable of withstanding the high velocities of the molten alloy filling the die, a specially designed streamlined gating system, and an acetylene soot die coating.
