Constituent congress of scientific and technical

On February, 12, 1992 in Tula constituent assembly of scientific - technical society of ferrous metallurgy was held. During recent 5 years some success was reached in increasing the prestige of the society and favourable conditions were created for its functioning under market conditions. Three main trends in society activities are pointed out: 1) active scientific - technical policy in mining-metallurgical complex of Russia and CIS through participation in national, branch and regional programs; 2) creation of favourable conditions that would provide for creative and professional growth of society members; 3) provision of social, legal and professional protection of society members.
