摘要
An audio-magnetotelluric (AMT) survey was carried out to conduct surface electromagnetic mapping in selected positions in the clay belts of northern Ontario. With the AMT method, the authors have been able to characterize, in the areas surveyed, the conductivity structure of clay-rich overburden and Precambrian Shield rocks underneath. The value of the clay resistivity seems fairly uniform in study areas ranging from Lake Abitibi to Engelhart.
