摘要
Small amounts of boron in aluminum-killed, low-alloy steel boost the hardening effects of carbon and other elements, increasing tensile strength and minimizing relaxation in bolts used in building and bridge construction. Close controls are crucial to success, but the overall results make the extra care well worth the effort in product uniformity and reduced costs.
