The theory of elasticity problems of Cosserat media has been investigated in numerous papers. All those problems have been considered on the basis of the theory of continuous media. In the present text, the basic concepts are given of the linear theory of discrete Cosserat media. Such media are defined as countable sets of rigid bodies connected by a specific system of interactions. The theory of the discrete elastic Cosserat media is a part of a discrete elasticity - and is based on the theory of discretized bodies.
