A study is described of the feasibility of utilizing injection of a secondary fluid for controlling flows past various bodies in order to reduce heat transfer to their surface and modifying the drag within the required limits. It is found that using an injection ratio close to unity makes possible substantial modification of the nature of flow past the body, which allows one to regard injection as an effective method of controlling flow past bodies and their aerodynamic properties. The experimental results are presented in graphic form.
