This paper is devoted to the work of H. Simon in the field of decision making and management and, more elusively also in economics. It is not necessary to underline the links between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and decision making, the relationships between AI and management are probably less known. However, administrative management is at the origin of the whole Simon's works and, as we will see, the bounded rationality as well as the notion of heuristic search are directly inspired by the management and by decision makers' behavior within organizations. From organizations to computers, Simon followed the same idea of studying information processing and decision and, more precisely information processing for decision.
