摘要
The article presents a case history of a sewage treatment plant expansion along with the regional development. With this expansion and some industrial developments the sewage plant is receiving the industrial waste as well. Usually the quality and the quantity of the industrial waste is steady and causes no problems. But a sudden influx of a high amount of low quality industrial waste destroyed the bacterial mass of the biological treatment. The emergency problem was solved by the use of adapted microorganisms. The microorganisms were added to the tanks for biological treatment where they successfully replaced the destroyed biomass.
