摘要
By using newly developed broad band test heads of low frequency and high short-range and long-range resolution and also test heads appropriate for angled emission of longitudinal waves, the disturbances which are caused by reflections on coarse-grained austenitic structures are reduced to such a degree that ultrasonic examination is possible. Using practical examples, this paper illustrates what can be obtained by testing austenitic materials and what has to be taken into consideration.
