摘要
India is one of the countries seriously affected by pollution mainly caused by the exhaust emissions from automobiles. The capital city of India, Delhi, being one of the densely populated cities becoming increasingly polluted due to increase in number of automobiles. Realizing this problem and sensing the alarming rate of increase in pollutants in the atmosphere, resulting from the combustion of gasoline, the Government of India has taken an important and encouraging step towards the reduction of atmospheric pollution by directing its attention towards the use of LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) as an automotive fuel. This paper deals with the use of LPG as a fuel in an Ambassador car engine and comparing its performance with that of gasoline using a newly designed LPG pressure regulator.
