Investigation of Uncontrolled and Controlled Rectifiers with a Capacitive Filter and Internal Inductances.

Intermittent output current conditions of two classes of m-phase rectifiers - uncontrolled (class SmlR parallel C infinity ) and controlled (class S alpha ml R parallel C infinity ) with a capacitaive (R parallel C) filter - are investigated. The phase emf are taken to be sinusoidal (S-shaped), internal inductances l// mu ( mu equals 1,2,. . . , m) are taken into account, and the simplifying condition C yields infinity is assumed. Relations between alternate (currents, voltages, etc. ), angular values and operating mode indices necessary for circuit design are obtained. New operating conditions are shown and operating mode pictures at m equals 1,2,3,4,6 are presented.
