Uniform-temperature equilibrium vapor bubbles executing steady-state pulsations under the influence of an ultrasonic field in cryogenic and boiling liquids are discussed. An expression is derived in the linear representation for the complex resonance frequency of vapor bubbles, where the imaginary part is associated with heat- and mass-transfer losses in condensation and evaporation during the pulsations. It is shown that the Q of vapor bubbles is considerably smaller than for gas bubbles and can be less than unity. The absorption and velocity of sound in liquids containing gas bubbles are estimated.
