Algorithm to enhance contrast for image with wavelet transform

摘要
Having made discrete wavelet transform to an image, de-noising is done in high frequency sub-bands in better resolution levels. Enhancement is done by combining denoising method with non-linear gain method in high frequency sub-bands in the worse resolution levels. A new criterion to evaluate quality of enhanced image is given. Experimental results show that new algorithm can reduce white noise in the image effectively while it also enhances contrast of image well.
