Study on the multiplexed fiber Bragg grating temperature sensors

A new approach for the demodulation of multiplexed fiber Gragg rating sensor system using wavelength-matched fiber grating tuned fiber laser to interrogate the sensing gratings was proposed here. Its response characteristics were analysed theoretically which has the advantages of high SNR, good reliability, inexpensive cost, and capability of operating under unfavorable environment. Experimental results on three grating sensors multiplexed system were presented also for the temperature measurement which agree well with the theoretical ones.
