摘要
Gravimetric sorption was used to identify samples that appear to interact with water as a chemical reagent. The features in the sorption behavior which allow the distribution to be made were identified. Few if any of the samples investigated interact chemically with water. The demonstration of chemical interaction of a sample with water and other vapors by sorption studies alone was not always straightforward. Chemical interaction of water with samples appeared to be relatively rare.
