摘要
The article describes the circuit properties of a superconducting limiter formed by a transformer with a superconducting winding connected to its secondary. The primary winding of the current limiter is connected in series with the equipment. If the secondary winding is in a superconducting state the resulting impedance of the limiter is close to the short-circuit impedance of the transformer. If the maximum allowed current value is overreached the critical parameters of the superconductor are exceeded also and it turns over to the resistive state. The impedance of the limiter increases several times and influences substantially the current magnitude in the outer circuit. The article also describes results of experiments with a physical model of the limiter.
