Viscosity and thermodynamic characteristics of viscous flow of aqueous tetrabutylammonium nitrate solutions

摘要
The authors have determined viscosities of aqueous solutions of tetrabutylammonium nitrate, in concentrations from 0. 009 to 7. 3 moles per 1000 g H//2O at 10 to 50 C with the aid of ciscosimeters of the VPZh- 1 type, giving efflux times not less than 200 sec. The thermodynamic functions of activation of viscous flow were calculated from the experimental viscosity data. Results indicate that the tetrabutylammonium cation has a considerable ordering effect on the primary structure of water.
