摘要
In this paper the relation of the properties (σt, Cox/Cgr, surface defect) with the variation of anod surface conditions for PAN-based and pitch-based carbon fiber has been studied. It is found that the chemical activity and physical activity of the carbon fiber surface can be greatly increased by anod surface treatment. The experiment results show that four kinds of carbon-oxide structures and tiny surface defect on the surface of carbon fibers can be formed by anod surface treatment. The ratio Cox/Cgr, relative total content of carbon-oxide structure, and the size and amount of tiny surface defect increased with the increase of anodic potential. The shape of the surface defect of PAN-based carbon fiber is different from that of the pitch-based carbon fiber. It is observed that anodic potential is the most important parameter for anod surface treatment of carbon fibers.
