Problems of the method of experimental investigation of the piston compressor are considered in order to set up a mathematical model of the process of superhigh-pressure compressor for ethylene. The program realized involves investigation of the air-tightness of seals, gas throttling before the stuffing-box seal, wave processes in the piping, working processes, and the dynamics of self-actuated valves.
