摘要
Computer simulation provides a better insight into what is going on in a pipeline system. A Pipeline Simulator is therefore a valuable tool for safe and efficient system design and operation. Polish Oil and Gas Company (POGC) has been using gas pipeline simulation for its transmission system since 1998. This article first addresses the specifics of the Polish gas system and then outlines the basic concepts of pipeline simulation. Finally, the article presents POGC's current simulation applications, and describes future applications in a liberalised gas market.
