Use of carbon dioxide in enhanced oil recovery (EOR) projects is growing as more West Texas crude fields become depleted. This growth has lead to construction of more CO//2 pipelines; ARCO Pipe Line Co. 's Sheep Mountain is an example. The pipeline has a total length of approximately 408 miles, and it Part designed with the most restrictive guidelines furnished in both the gas transportation codes, U. S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Part 192 and ANSI B31. 8 and the liquid transportation codes, DOT part 195 and ANSI B31. 4.
