This monthly survey of R&D in the Soviet rubber science and technology includes the following topics: (1) use of heat stabilizers on silicon rubbers to improve aging characteristics; (2) adhesion improvement of rubber to steel cord using chlorine-polymers and resorcinal/hexamine; new curing agents for chloropene rubbers; thermogravimetric analysis of rubber compounds.
