Parametric pulsing of oil and gas reservoirs. An evaluation of the merits

The paper is a discussion of the thesis set out by Tek et al in '%'Parametric Pulsing- A new approach to increased gas field deliverability'%', published in the same issue of JPT. The merits of parametric pulsing are investigated for single- phase flow. Both analytical and numerical results show that for this case reservoir performance is not enhanced by alternating production and shut- in- periods.
