摘要
Discussion of a technique to formulate payoff measures by means of payoff ″trees″ , and to integrate them into key design activities within the distributed data processing (DDP) design process. Specific payoffs considered are: performance, reliability/availability, growth, deployability, life cycle cost (LCC), survivability, fault tolerance and form factor. The concept supports parametric design trades between one or more candidate designs. In addition, the paper demonstrates the technique for two candidate DDP architectural designs.
