摘要
The purpose of the study described is to develop a reliable set of disaggregate, classificatory journey-to-work mode-choice models based on varying combinations of attitudinal, perceptual, socioeconomic, locational, and transportation system predictor variables. From this set of models an optimal classificatory design is selected and relatively homogeneous profiles of commuters are defined. Transit demand responsiveness to hypothetical changes in bus characteristics is evaluated, both for the entire sample of survey respondents and for separate groupings of work trippers derived from the commuter segmentation models.
