摘要
A strong emphasis on waste minimisation in the domestic waste stream and substantial increases in recycling and energy recovery are among the seven key commitments in the Government's consultation paper, Less waste more value. These commitments are The Government's seven key commitments: substantial increases in recycling and energy recovery; increased public involvement in reuse and recycling of household waste; a long term framework with challenging targets underpinned by realistic programmes; a strong emphasis on waste minimisation; using the waste hierarchy as a guide, not a prescriptive set of rules; creative use of economic incentives like the landfill tax; and increased public involvement in decision-making.
