Effect of vulcanization time and vulcanization system on thermal ageing property of clay-rubber masterbatch

The effect of vulcanization time and vulcanization systems on thermal ageing property of the clay-rubber masterbatch were investigated by air oven ageing test and thermal analysis. The results showed that the optimum vulcanization time of the clay-rubber masterbatch was 20 min in the range of vulcanization curve, because of its sensitivity to thermal ageing. When the clay-rubber masterbatch was vulcanized by semi-efficient vulcanization system and efficient vulcanization system, better thermal ageing resistance could be obtained.
