Near-infrared spectroscopy for the measurement of cerebral blood flow

摘要
The cerebral blood flow (CBF) is one of the main parameters that reveal the brain function. The principles of using near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) to measure CBF were introduced. The relative change of blood flow in a brain model was measured by a dual wavelength NIRS system that has the function of real-time continuous measuring, data processing and displaying. An in vivo measurement of relative changes of blood flow in frontal cortex was also reported.
