摘要
It is found that in the K//2O-TiO//2-GeO//2 system there is a broad glass-forming region most of which belongs to the field of solid solutions based on potassium germanate. In the glasses a high refractive index is accompained by a relatively low density and with an increase in the refractive index from 1. 67 to 1. 80 the density changes from 3. 78 to 3. 25. As well as the compounds TiO//2, K//2Ti//6O//1//3 , K//2Ti//4O//9, K//2Ti//2O//5, K//2TiO//3, GeO//2 , K//2Ge//7O//1//5 , K//2Ge//4O//9 , and K//2Ge//2O//5 observed in the binary systems forming the system, there is a region of solid solutions based on TiO//2, K//2Ge//40//9, K//2Ge//7O//1//5 , and K//2Ti//6O//1//3 . The changes in the properties of the glasses depend on the character of the phase ratios in the system.
