COMPUTER SYSTEM CONTROLS ALL MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES.

Lynn Haven, Florida, a city of 9,000 residents has created a system to monitor and control all maintenance activities throughout the public works department. The system monitors and controls all activities. Every scheduled maintenance action is approved by issuing a work-order to the responsible department and is monitored through to completion. The system is also used to capture all those citizens' requests for service. If a call is received to pick up trash, an unscheduled work order is issued after the request is entered in the computer and it is monitored until the work is completed.
