The development, analysis and implementation of a method for calibrating thermocouple at temperature &le 1650 °C are described. Developing a calibration system with the specified capability involved finding a calibration furnace and thermocouple standards, establishing traceability, verifying furnace stability and verifying proper operation of the standard probe. Accuracy evaluation of the calibration system by accuracy ratio method showed the sufficiency of the system for high-temperature thermocouple calibrations. Error deviation (0.31%) of tested thermocouple from the standard proved to be acceptable.
