By adding a cladding layer with appropriate radius and ∆n around the core; new chalcogenide HMOFs can provide very flattened and near-zero chromatic dispersion profiles in the mid-infrared window and very broad FOPA gain bandwidth. Moreover; the chromatic dispersion and the FOPA gain spectra can be invariant to the fiber structure fluctuation. With those brilliant properties; new chalcogenide HMOFs are very potential to extend the performance of FOPA to the mid-infrared window for more applications in medical and sensing systems.
