On a conceptual level, the products made by PRI Automation resemble the workings of a toy train set. PRI Automation makes advanced robotics, monorail transport systems, and automated materials handling equipment. PRI Automation's products rely on digital intelligence and software to delicately and precisely move and store the silicon wafers used in semiconductor manufacturing. While the company's products have helped make semiconductor labs bastions of efficiency, ironically, until a few years ago, PRI was struggling to control its own manufacturing environment.
