Five- and six-membered spirocyclic cyclotriphosphazene derivatives with methacryloyl substituents on the spirocyclic ring

Synthetic procedures have been developed for the preparation of spiro(2,3-dioxypropylmethacryloyltetrachlorcyclotriphosphazene, N3P3Cl4[OCH2CH(OC(O) = CH2)O] (2) and spiro((2-methyl-3-oxy-2-(oxymethyl)propyl)methacryloyltetrachlor ocyclotripho sphazene, N3P3Cl4[OCH2CMe(CH2OC(O) = CH2)CH2O] (3). The 1H, 13C and 31P NMR spectra have been analyzed using two-dimensional (COSY and HETCOR) techniques and spectra simulation methods. The crystal and molecular structure of 3 has been investigated by single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques. The crystals are monoclinic with the space group P21/C with a = 12.154(5), b = 7.825(5), and c = 20.208(10) angstroms and β = 103.240° with V = 1870.8(17) angstroms° and Z = 4.
