摘要
One way of achieving a significant increase in productivity in multispindle automatic lathes is by reducing time spent in idle traversing of the slides due to incorrect timing of the switch from rapid approach to working feed. Experience shows that productivity of autos can also be increased by reducing traversing times due to excessively long slide travels. The present article describes a more accurate method of calculating length lp for various types of turning jobs, allowing for all the main components of the time losses, including losses occurring as a result of elastic deformation of the slide drive mechanisms.
