Recent technical advances in texturing have led to vastly increased yarn speeds, giving rise to subsequent problems in application of yarn lubricants. This paper is intended to define thse problems more clearly and to show how it is possible to reduce the problems by correct choice of yarn lubricant. Also it is intended to show how the performance of the yarn lubricant can be enhanced by alterning machine settings.
